In short - NO! Roaccutane patients have a tendency to heel poorly, and hence any treatment that breaches the upper layers of skin is not allowed if you are on Roaccutane. Examples of treatments not allowed on Roaccutane include microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser hair removal, and laser treatments.

A new non-laser based treatment called RadioFrequency is revolutionizing the way we manage acne and acne scarring. RF treatments are fractional- namely only a tiny amount of the skin is breached. This breach in the skin allows the machine to deliver a radiofrequency pulse (of radiowaves, not light). Radiowaves flow thru the scars and over time break them up.

RadioFrequency, if performed correctly, is compatible with Roaccutane (low dose). This treatment forms the basis of the Acne Free RF Program.
