In short, yes. It has been documented that diet can be associated with acne. A bad diet does not CAUSE acne, however may make acne worse. Eating a well balanced diet, rich in anti-acne forming foods may reduce outbreaks.

Dermatologists recommend eating foods low in sugars and simple carbs, but rich in protein and low Glycaemic Index foods. Stay away from sweets, chocolates, processed foods and eat more complex carbs and protein. Milk products may also worsen acne.
